All Over the Place

Kettle Collective presents All Over the Place — an exhibition of new work by the five members of the collective alongside eight invited artists. About Kettle Collective presents All Over the Place an exhibition of new work by the five members of the collective alongside eight invited artists. Working across painting, print and sculpture, the artists explore the title through distinct material and conceptual approaches. All Over the Place is a familiar and elastic phrase, suggesting dispersal, overload and the impossibility of being in several places at once. It captures both resisting and giving in to chaos, with a comic, almost slapstick quality to this awkward near-unravelling. The works explore formal instability, domestic disruption, colliding moments in time and geographical dislocation. Together, they find humour, tension and possibility in things being out of place, out of balance or just about holding together.
