Art on Your Doorstep in partnership with The National Gallery

Life-size reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery collection will be coming to Brentford as part of a new national touring project. Brentford is one of twelve towns across the UK that will share paintings from the nation’s collection with communities beyond Trafalgar Square. About The outdoor exhibition will present printed reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery will be exhibited across the town. Each painting will be reproduced life-sized, in fine detail and in its frame, allowing visitors the chance to look closely at the brushstrokes and discover hidden details. Outdoors and free to view, this exhibition will entwine art with the everyday. The exhibition will be influenced by this year’s Creative Mile theme of ‘love’ and be shaped by Brentford’s people, landmarks and history. The exhibition is available to see 24 hours a day seven days a week whilst on display and a series of events and guided walks and talks will take place.
