RSVPJoin us at Pocko Gallery for the launch edition of Pocko After Hours! About Our inaugural event explores a central creative question: How can an artist maintain their personal touch when executing a client brief? To unpack this, we are hosting celebrated Japanese illustrator Nomoco—renowned for her distinct watercolor and ink work for clients such as Penguin Books, Marc Jacobs, and The New York Times. About Nomoco Renowned for her delicate, fluid ink work, printmaking, and organic experiments with movement and colour, Nomoco’s art is deeply inspired by nature and sound. Educated at the London College of Communication (BA) and Central Saint Martins (MA), her work spans book covers, editorial, fashion, and packaging globally. She has exhibited across London, Tokyo, Milan, New York, and Singapore, collaborating with clients including Penguin Books , Marc Jacobs , Moschino , The New York Times , The Guardian , Audi , and The Folio Society . Her illustrated book Once Upon a Raindrop was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. What to Expect Live Overhead Ink Demo: Watch Nomoco work with raw ink on paper in real time. From Brief to Artwork: An in-conversation case study exploring the commissioning process, how clients brief artists, and how artists protect their personal voice. Open Audience Q&A: A direct dialogue for artists, art directors, and creative clients. Drinks & Aperitivo: Evening social with music, drinks, and Nomoco’s work on exhibition.
