This two-hour workshop is designed for complete beginners, returners, or anyone wanting to feel more confident using their camera, particularly for garden and outdoor photography. The session is welcoming and informal, with small group sizes to allow for plenty of individual support and tailored advice. Whether you’re using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, compact camera, or even a phone, you’ll be supported at your own level. We’ll focus on helping you understand your camera better and make more deliberate creative choices, covering topics such as: Getting to grips with camera settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) Composition and framing in garden and outdoor spaces Using natural light effectively Photographing plants, textures, details, and wider scenes Practical tips to improve your images straight away This is not a rushed or overly technical session.
