About event

Of joy, sex, destruction, and time’s mystery, this exhibition presents Malga Kubiak’s legendary video series The Egotrip Collection (1984–94), a new performative intervention by Keira Fox and installation and paintings by Ksenia Pedan. About Opening times during Gallery Weekend: 1 – 3 May 12–7pm Regular opening times: Thursday – Saturday, 12–6pm, and by appointment Of joy, sex, destruction and the mystery of time, this exhibition presents Malga Kubiak’s legendary video series The Egotrip Collection (1984–1994), a new performative intervention by Keira Fox (including audio in collaboration with Sean Colum), and installations and paintings by Ksenia Pedan. In The Egotrip Collection , Kubiak confronts the viewer with existential questions through a rapid montage of images, black humour, and explicit imagery. Together, the works form a matrix in which the boundaries between life and art collapse in a flickering, live edit. Curated by Emily Fahlén (Mint) Keira Fox is an Artist based in London, working with performance, improvisation, sound and props. She co-founded the performance duo New Noveta in 2012. She is also one part of the collective TLC23 founded in 2021. Fox’s work explores socio-political struggle, heightened through repetitive actions. She often uses domestic objects and characterizations of banal, everyday work and dress to amplify resistance via bodily penance. Collaboration is key to her practise, working with musicians and artists on productions. Recent exhibitions include: HIAR, Solo performance for Bolding Gallery (London 2026) ‘PFED for Where are the Hackers?’ at Berlin Atonal (Berlin, 2025), ‘Wast hast du mir angetan’ at Gropius Bau (Berlin, 2025), ‘Technoavoidancemanias,’ performance at Faun Festival with Rian Treanor, (Brno, 2024), ‘Peine forte et dure Performance’ for Teatro Bastardo Theatre Festival (Palermo, 2023) and ‘Steel My Heart’ performance for Sound of the City Festival at Tanztheater-Wuppertal (Wuppertal, 2022). Malga Kubiak (b. 1950 Warsaw) is a writer, performance artist and underground film-maker. She is the director of 40 independent films, and she has written and published four novels. She made an impact on the cultural life in Gothenburg in the 1980’s with projects such as DS Art Ensemble, Miss Mess och GBG Poetry Art Festival. Since then Kubiak has worked in Stockholm as an artist, writer and singer. In the collection of video works ‘The Egotrip Collection'(1984-94) she confronts the viewer with existential issues using a hectic flow of images, black humour and provocative pornography. Some titles out of the Egotrip collection are: Ego, Superego, Father, Angel, IDN 1, IDN 2, IDN 3, IDN 4, Flasher and Baby Trouble Hole. Her work is currently on display at the exhibition The Female Question at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Ksenia Pedan (b. 1986, Kharkiv) is an artist based in Stockholm. She works with sculpture, painting and installation, using interior design as a form and extension of relations and emotional states. Her work often explores the structure and economy of attention. She has previously exhibited as part of an artist duo with Ben Burgis and collaborated with performance artists and musicians where the exhibitions also function as sets for performance. Recent solo shows include Sun Sinks Low , Skene, Malmö (2025); Forming the Culture of a Dormant Brain, Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2024); Habits of People , ISSUES, Stockholm (2023), and Reversion , Cell Project Space, London (2023).
