RSVPThis commemorative exhibition marks the 26th anniversary of Perve Galeria, celebrating a unique journey dedicated to modern and contemporary art, with a strong emphasis on Portuguese-Speaking Countries and the Global South. Bringing together works by creators who have shaped the gallery's identity, such as João Artur da Silva, Reinata Sadimba, Ernesto Shikhani, Manuel Figueira, Teresa Roza d'Oliveira, Manuel João Vieira, Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, Marya Al Qassimi, Martin Wöllenstein, and the duo Time For The Oniric, the exhibition proposes a dynamic intergenerational dialogue. The showcase also pays a profound tribute to the Mozambican artist Ídasse, who recently passed away, remembering that he was the first artist to hold a solo exhibition at Perve Galeria: the landmark show Assombramentos [Hauntings], developed during an artistic residency between 2000 and 2001. Celebrating this foundational period and the artists who laid the groundwork for the gallery's path, the initiative honors those who built this artistic pulse. More than just honoring memory, this return to the past serves to cast the dice and project the future, reaffirming Perve as a living space of cultural resistance, experimentation, and the intersection of languages.
