About event

Join Moleskine Battersea for EcoFest, a month-long celebration of sustainable art and creativity, with artist-led workshops exploring drawing, printmaking, repair, writing and sketching. About EcoFest with Moleskine is a month-long programme celebrating sustainable art, creativity and mindful making at Moleskine Battersea Power Station. Throughout October, EcoFest brings together a series of artist-led workshops exploring different approaches to creative practice, sustainability and our relationship with the world around us. From experimental printmaking and drawing to visual repair, sensory writing and observational sketching, each workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, learn something new and create with intention. The programme features five workshops led by a diverse group of artists and creatives: Drawing with Roots - Charlie Butterfield Thursday 1 & 8 October | 17:00–19:00 An exploration of carving and root designing inspired by the natural world and the forms, textures and rhythms found in nature. Gelli Printing - Elizabeth Walker Sunday 11 & 25 October | 14:00–16:00 A playful introduction to gelli printing, exploring texture, layering and experimental mark-making to create unique prints. The Art of Visual Repair - Yulong Lli Wednesday 14 & 21 October | 17:30–19:00 A creative workshop exploring repair as an artistic practice, encouraging participants to look at damaged or imperfect objects in new ways and transform them through creative intervention. Creative Sensory Writing - Ayesha Chouglay Friday 16 & 23 October | 17:30–19:00 A sensory approach to creative writing, using observation, memory and the surrounding environment as prompts for developing new ideas and ways of writing. Sketch Walk - Lucia Vinti Saturday 24 October | 11:00–14:00 A guided sketching experience encouraging participants to observe their surroundings, slow down and translate the world around them into drawings. Hosted by Lua Joy Costa, EcoFest is an invitation to explore creativity through more sustainable, thoughtful and tactile processes. Whether you are an experienced artist, a curious beginner, a nature lover or simply looking for a different creative experience, the workshops offer an opportunity to learn directly from practising artists while experimenting with new techniques. Please note: Each workshop is a separate event and has its own entry fee and booking. Workshop prices vary, so please check the individual workshop listing for the applicable fee and availability.
