Fertile Image: A Response to the Work of Paul Nash

Fertile Image is a curated exhibition of works on paper exploring the enduring legacy of Paul Nash. Through prints, photographs, lithographs and watercolours, the exhibition considers landscape, memory and the poetic possibilities of overlooked objects and natural forms. About Drawing inspiration from Nash's ability to reveal the strange and evocative qualities hidden within the everyday, Fertile Image brings together the work of Andy Hughes and Michael Gaca. Responding to Nash's fascination with landscape and the character of natural and discarded forms, their works invite viewers to look again at the familiar, uncovering moments of mystery, presence and quiet transformation within the world around us.
