Film Screening: David J Amado,

Aconchego House Associação is screening David J Amado's work corespondance to Lisbon Art Weekend 2026. About During Lisbon Art Weekend, Aconchego House will open its gallery doors to showcase works by trans and queer artists. Our scheduled program includes a visual arts exhibition by two trans fine artists from the Portuguese diaspora, as well as a live performance by Samba (https://www.instagram.com/samba.injai_/), a gender fluid dancer and performer from Guinea-Bissau. This immersive experience will use art as a tool for discovering gender identity expression as well as internal and social transformation, creating an interactive space for trans and queer visibility and dialogue with the audience through a multidisciplinary artistic experience. The event will celebrate gender identity and resistance through an integrated artistic experience, combining a visual showcase with moments of live performative expression exploring the body, movement, and individual freedom. Designed specifically for the LAW calendar, this initiative aims to promote the co-creation of our trans and genderqueer community in an environment of celebration as well as artistic and interpersonal discovery.
