RSVPJean-Marie Toulgouat’s paintings open a window onto Giverny, not as a museum, but as the place he knew throughout his life. Born there in 1927, he grew up around Monet’s house, studios and gardens, and later helped in their restoration. About This exhibition brings together paintings from across four decades, filled with colour, movement and the changing seasons. Rooted in the world of Impressionism but unmistakably his own, Toulgouat’s work captures the feeling of a garden constantly changing. The exhibition also looks ahead to a major new illustrated book to be published in 2027 - the centenary of his birth - on his life and work, and his surprising international influence outside of Giverny.
