Jemisha Maadhavji

Attenborough Arts Centre is proud to present a new major solo exhibition by acclaimed portrait artist Jemisha Maadhavji. About The exhibition will celebrate Jemisha’s vision of luxury, defined by her as a ‘flawless connection with nature’, in which highly detailed portraiture meets ornamentation. Jemisha will present a show of oil paintings as a form of installation, spanning recent works and newly commissioned pieces. Jemisha’s distinctive style has earned national attention through TV coverage on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year and exhibitions at Nottingham Castle and with Bloomberg New Contemporaries. A graduate of De Montfort University, Jemisha is a vital voice in Leicester’s creative community and has taught oil painting through Attenborough Arts Centre’s Creative Courses programme.
