RegisterEnjoy the best seats in the house for Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Brahms Violin Concerto, all with great soloists, in Worcester Cathedral Worcestershire Symphony Orchestra invites experienced singers to join them in May 2026 for a performance in Worcester Cathedral on Saturday 9th (appropriately!) of two great masterpieces of music for orchestra and chorus - Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and, to start the concert, Parry's I Was Glad . Rehearsal details are now confirmed as follows: Singers in the region will be delighted to read that renowned choral conductor and organist Piers Maxim will take the full chorus rehearsal on Sunday May 3rd at 2pm at St Martin's Church, London Road Worcester WR5 2ED. The rehearsal will end not later than 5pm. On Thursday May 7th at 7.30 there will be a one-hour rehearsal at St Martin's Church, London Road Worcester for chorus with full orchestra under WSO's stellar conductor Keith Slade . On May 9th the chorus will join the orchestra and soloists in the Cathedral at 3.30pm for a one-hour rehearsal ready for the performance at 7.30. We will issue emailable vocal parts for private practice on receipt of ticket applications and printed hired parts at the first rehearsal to be returned after the concert.
