RSVPTeatro Praga comes to MAAT to challenge us to form ideas with our bodies and movement in a creative workshop where artworks serve as a source of inspiration from which each participant will let their expressiveness flow. Let’s put our heads together and draw inspiration from the works featured around us in the exhibition Turn around. A look at the EDP Foundation Art Collection. Working as a group, and drawing on each participant’s keen eye, we will select a series of works from the exhibition as the basis for possible narratives and plots, which will be suggested and interpreted by the participants themselves under the careful supervision and guidance of the creators and actors Cláudia Jardim and Diogo Bento. First, we draw attention to and absorb the works, borrow ideas and influences, and then present a performance with all the freedom and enjoyment to which we are entitled, inviting our families to witness the final result. Based at Rua das Gaivotas in Lisbon, Teatro Praga is an artistic collective founded in 1995 which sees itself as a group or federation of artists. The members of the collective play different roles in the creation of the shows, placing an emphasis on experimentation, constant transformation and the unrepeatable nature of the theatrical act. Their artistic practice challenges traditional theatre structures, rejecting fixed answers and encouraging the audience to take full responsibility. RSVP required contact visitar.maat@edp.pt – Entrance to the museum will be free for accompanying adults during the workshop
