“When two worlds collide, something unexpected sprouts: possible possibilities meet and take shape.” About FLOWER COLLIDER What happens when a geometric order comes into contact with matter, colour and organic forms? Flower Collider stems from the encounter between two polarities: the flower, archetype of life and transformation, and the collider , a scientific device for collision and investigation of reality. The exhibition takes the form of an experimental field in which elements from different systems are left to interact. At the core of Leonardo Ulian's research lies the grid. A matrix and structure that precedes the image, the grid organizes space without saturating it: it does not contain matter, but rather allows it to emerge. Amidst copper wires, electronic components, pigments, ribbon cables, and reclaimed metal meshes, geometric precision coexists with the unpredictable. From the expanded symmetries of Technological Mandala to the gesturality of Filament Formation , from the bends of Digital Waterfall to environmental sculptures made of metal latticework, technology and industrial materials do not oppose nature, but become its transfigured vehicle. Ulian does not impose what emerges; he creates the conditions for it to happen. The artwork inhabits an interval of suspension: the precise moment when a structure ceases to be merely structural and allows a presence to surface, be it a flower, a landscape, a memory, a flow, or a form yet unnamed. Collision thus becomes a generative act. Where the rigidity of the grid is transfigured, it becomes the threshold from which unexpected places and recesses of the possible emerge.
