Debut novelist and author of Ordinary Saints, Niamh Ní Mhaoileoin, interviews Susannah Dickey & Lousie Nealon on their stunning new novels Everything That Is Beautiful by Louise Nealon is told through the perspectives of three very different women, and unfolds the story of one complicated family in startlingly honest prose. By turns funny and deeply moving, and with unmatched emotional intelligence, this is an unforgettable story of love and family, heartbreak and hope - and who we might become after we pick up the pieces. into the wreck by Susannah Dickey is told from five different perspectives, a novel that worries at the knotty complexities of one family’s bonds, written with Susannah Dickey’s trademark empathy and wit. Louise Nealon is a writer from County Kildare, Ireland. Her debut novel, Snowflake, was the winner of Newcomer of the Year at the An Post Irish Book Awards and was chosen for the One Dublin One Book campaign in 2024. She lives in Belfast. Susannah Dickey is a writer from Derry. She is the author of two novels, Tennis Lessons (2020) and Common Decency (2022), which was an Irish Waterstones Book of the Month. Her debut poetry collection, ISDAL , was a Guardian and Irish Times Book of the Year, was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the John Pollard Prize, and won the inaugural PEN Heaney Prize. Her short fiction has appeared in The Dublin Review , The Fence , and The White Review . Niamh Ní Mhaoileoin was the winner of the inaugural PFD Queer Fiction Prize and was also shortlisted for the Women's Prize Trust Discoveries Prize in 2022. Her début literary novel Ordinary Saints was shortlisted for the 2025 Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.
