Moiré Interdisciplinary Art Exhibition and Programme

Moiré brings together artists and researchers across installation, moving image, sound, performance, poetry and design. It asks what happens when different individuals, disciplines and cultures meet without one trying to convince the other. A space for wandering, sitting and spending time. About This project draws on Bauman's idea of 'the otherness of the other'. It approaches community-building as a process of negotiation conducted with empathy, rather than persuasion. Using the moiré pattern as a metaphor, the exhibition brings together artists and researchers whose practices move between different fields and cultures, and creates a space where something new can emerge in the overlap. The programme includes installation, visual art, sound, film, live performance and workshops, all in one room.
