Opening – Artists: Giovanni Ozzola, Tatiana Macedo

Concert by Berke Can Özcan will be on 7 November at 8pm. About Tatiana Macedo Giovanni Ozzola (Project Space) Tatiana Macedo (Lisbon, 1981) is a Portuguese artist of Angolan descent working across moving image, photography, and installation. Her practice explores perception, time, and the tension between stillness and movement, often dissolving boundaries between cinema, painting, and performance. Winner of the Sonae Media Art Award (2015), she has exhibited internationally, including at MAAT, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Jeju Biennial, and LOOP Barcelona and LOOP Busan in Korea. Giovanni Ozzola (Florence, 1982) is an Italian artist working with photography, video, and installation. His work investigates light, landscape, and the traces of human presence, often capturing moments of transition between day and night, presence and absence. Through a poetic and contemplative approach, Ozzola reflects on time, memory, and the relationship between nature and human intervention. He has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, MAXXI Rome, and MAMbo Bologna. Tatiana Macedo and Giovanni Ozzola present two distinct solo exhibitions at dialogue, each unfolding with its own language, tempo, and spatial logic. Tatiana Macedo’s work engages photography and moving image, sound, to explore perception, attention, and the tension between stillness and movement. Her practice invites a heightened awareness of time as something lived and felt. Giovanni Ozzola’s exhibition, through photography, reflects on light, landscape, and the traces of human presence. His works often capture moments of transition — between day and night, presence and absence. While maintaining their autonomy, the two exhibitions connect through a shared sensitivity to time, light, and the image as a space of passage, inviting the viewer into a slower, more contemplative experience.
