A memorial exhibition celebrating Patricia Swannell's rarely seen paintings and newly discovered works, exploring the beauty of nature, the passage of time and contemplation. About jaggedart is honoured to present Patricia Swannell | Contemplation , a memorial exhibition celebrating the artist's life and work from 5 to 19 November 2026. The exhibition features a selection of rarely seen paintings, including previously undiscovered studies and smaller works found while organising Patricia's studio. Many of these works will be exhibited for the first time. Patricia described her painting process as dancing, with delicate, overlapping brushstrokes moving across the paper like a breath or meditation. Her work explores the passage of time, the beauty of nature and the relationship between memory and the present. The exhibition also includes works from her Marking Time and Threshold series, alongside later pieces incorporating gold leaf and embroidery, inspired by her friend and fellow artist Kazuhito Takadoi. A share of artwork sales will be donated to Breast Cancer Now's £60 million campaign for metastatic breast cancer, continuing Patricia's fundraising legacy. Read more Toggle Painting Prints Drawing
