Register‘My mother tongue crumbled to pieces, like ash in my mouth.’ Lalaki (Man) and Babae (Woman) wake up separated, in a world they can’t recognise. A world where their children are forced to uproot themselves. They walk in their children’s footsteps, experiencing environmental disasters, political upheaval, labour exploitation, and hostile lands. Roots weaves the inherited stories of Filipino migration throughout history. This performance takes place in the fifth year of Peckham Fringe Festival, and the 40th Anniversary year of Theatre Peckham. Click here to see the full programme for this year's Peckham Fringe.
