Art From the Heart – Creating Opportunities for the Next Generation

Artgal Zim Center proudly presents SANGANA NEUNYANZVI 2026, a month-long exhibition and art competition dedicated to discovering, encouraging and promoting Zimbabwe's emerging artistic talent.

The exhibition will welcome a maximum of 50 upcoming artists, providing an opportunity to present their work to the public, connect with collectors, gain recognition and potentially earn income from their creativity.

Our aim is simple: to give talented artists an opportunity to be seen, appreciated and supported at the beginning of their artistic journey.

Participation and Prize Fund

Each artist may enter up to three paintings at an entry fee of USD 5 per painting.

All competition entry fees will be combined into one prize fund, estimated at USD 250–750, with an expected average of approximately USD 500.

The fund will be distributed as follows:

• 1st Place: 35%

• 2nd Place: 20%

• 3rd Place: 10%

• 4th–10th Place: 5% each

Artgal.Online guarantees a minimum award of USD 20 for each artist placed 4th–10th, making up any shortfall from the prize fund.

In addition, Artgal.Online will separately sponsor USD 20 recognition awards for artists placed 11th–50th, where those places are filled.

The Public Decides

The competition will be judged by visitors to the exhibition.

Each visitor will have the opportunity to vote for the artist and artwork they consider most deserving of recognition. Votes will be collected throughout the exhibition and counted at its conclusion to determine the winners.

This approach gives the public a direct voice while encouraging meaningful engagement between artists, visitors and collectors.

International Recognition

The artworks awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be featured free of charge on Artsy and Artplacer, introducing the winning artists to international audiences.

The first-place winner will also receive the opportunity to be featured at Art International Zurich 2027, taking place from 21–23 May 2027 in Switzerland.

Artgal Zim Center may select additional artworks from participating artists for presentation on Artsy and Artplacer at no listing cost.

Artwork Sales

Artists will receive 60% of the selling price of artworks sold during the exhibition, with 40% retained by the gallery.

More Than a Competition

SANGANA NEUNYANZVI is not simply about awarding prizes. It is about discovering talent, building confidence and creating opportunities for Zimbabwe's next generation of artists.

By bringing artists, collectors and the public together, Artgal Zim Center hopes to create a platform where new artistic voices can be heard and appreciated.
