About event

Positive Light Projects is thrilled to present "Set Ashore," an upcoming group art exhibition showcasing the diverse works of artists Katarina Kos, Sandra Goodenough, and Clare Flinn. About This free art exhibition offers profound, individual interpretations of coastal thresholds, environmental shifts, and ecological tension. Organised by Katarina Kos, "Set Ashore" brings together a rich collection of works created across various media. The three artists approach the coastal theme from distinct, contrasting viewpoints, anchored by a substantial body of work from Katarina Kos. Drawing direct inspiration from her time on the water as an avid sea kayaker, Katarina Kos captures the raw energy of high seas. She confronts the warming of our oceans and the urgent impacts of climate change, posing a vital question to the audience: What are we as individuals doing about it? In parallel to these pressing global ecological issues, Sandra Goodenough and Clare Flinn offer a perspective focused on the direct friction at our immediate shoreline. At the heart of their artistic examination of coastal edges is a shared philosophy that captures the conflict between human presence and natural boundaries: "Where land meets sea, where wildness and people live in uneasy harmony, where the power of tides and winds reign." Special Collaboration with the RNLI: Reflecting the exhibition’s deep ties to sea safety, coastal environments, and the raw power of the ocean, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) will be joining the opening reception on the 3rd of November. Representatives from the charity will be present to share insights into their vital lifesaving work along our volatile shorelines. All welcome! Read more Toggle Painting Drawing Mixed media
