Philip and Erin Stead are coming to Indianapolis, and we’re throwing a very book-nerdy afternoon in their honor. Philip, known for his beloved picture books, has just published his first novel. It’s nonlinear. It breaks the fourth wall. It features twenty-four goats holding up a castle, a forgetful wizard, Latin phrases, and a Boat That Does Not Grant Wishes. In other words: it’s weird and smart and delightful. So we’re gathering the book people. Librarians. Teachers. Booksellers. Media specialists. Curious readers. Anyone who has ever reorganized a bookshelf for fun.
