RegisterJoin London Glassblowing for their beloved Spring Open House as they mark 50 years — a cherished annual celebration of British glass artistry, pioneered by Peter Layton in 1976.
When Peter Layton opened his workshop doors to the public in 1976, the concept of open studios barely existed. What began as a quietly pioneering gesture has grown into one of Britain's most beloved glass celebrations - and this year, it marks half a century. For this milestone Open House, Peter Layton and Tim Rawlinson unveil brand new collections created specially for the anniversary: works that reflect fifty years of innovation, experimentation, and dedication to the medium. Resident artists will also showcase new work, offering a full picture of the creative community at the heart of London Glassblowing. The popular Sale Table returns, offering carefully selected studio pieces at special prices - a chance to own a piece of history from Britain's most enduring glass studio.
