Stick It Baby - Hollie Dewick

This month in our gallery: an exhibition of collage by Hollie Dewick. About Stick It Baby is a collage exhibition exploring the relationship between women, nature and the surreal. Working intuitively with found imagery, collage allows the unexpected to take over. The process is influenced by the Surrealist technique of automatism, allowing chance, instinct and association to guide the making of an image rather than following a fixed plan. Through this process, women, plants, animals and fragments of the everyday collide to create humorous new narratives. Hollie Dewick is a collage artist who has been working with the medium for over ten years. Surrealist collage and automatism, continues to inform her practice. Her work combines humor, visual play and a fascination with the strange relationships that can emerge when seemingly unrelated images are brought together. Read more Toggle Mixed media
