RSVPThis concept is a tricky puzzle in order to understand complex human feelings, exploring shame as both a rupture in moral and social patterns and as a defence mechanism. About Sometimes, shame is presented as a rupture in moral, social, or religious patterns, transforming it into a toxic symbol of stigma (with the precise purpose of public humiliation). From another point of view, it looks like a defence mechanism or a social emotion linked to self-knowledge and public perception. Shown as a mixture of vulnerability, exposure, and inadequacy, this kind of emotion has biological and social origins, evolving as a solution to environmental changes and social group adaptations. From a phenomenological perspective, maintaining social hierarchy and shaping behaviour through shame is an interesting area of study. Shame developed as a mechanism for group participation and as an interhuman and social regulator. Cultural factors have played an essential role in the way shame is experienced.
