The Room

The first solo exhibition by New York-based photographer and designer Rocky, curated by Christine. Fashion photography brought back into a working photography studio. About YITUO LAB is pleased to present The Room, the first solo exhibition by New York-based photographer and designer Rocky, curated by Christine. Departing from the conventional gallery setting, The Room brings fashion photography back into its environment of production, a working photography studio. Rocky's photographs begin with a setting rather than a subject. The body enters an environment already charged with emotion, taking on its atmosphere through gesture and dress. In his work, a room can confine, a garment can enclose, and what is concealed can become as present as what remains visible. The exhibition brings together four series made between 2025 and 2026: Odyssey, Lune Blanche, Redacted, and Portraits. Across these works, the relationship between body and space shifts, from the constructed interiors of Odyssey to the quieter presence of the portraits.
