Where the light does not shed

“Where the light does not shed” is an exhibition and series of concerts exploring literature censorship. About “Where the light does not shed” is a collaboration between 6 musicians and 6 visual artists who have brought together a series of works exploring the importance of access to literature and freedom of speech. Something which we feel is becoming even more poignant today as our political landscape becomes more unsettled. This show was inspired not only by 1984 (George Orwell), but also by continual censorship by governments for generations. Through music, painting, textiles, photography and more, we touch on themes ranging from queer histories on Cyprus to the hypercirculation of media and news today. We hope to bring people together through both music and visual artists, offering a space for conversation and connection.
